About Me
I’ve loved athletics since I was a kid, first as an athlete and, since 2019, as a coach of elite and emerging sprinters and jumpers. I coach out of Beaton Park in Wollongong, working with juniors through to world-champion masters athletes.

"Jamie brings out excellence in his athletes with integrity, intelligence and a level of care that is rare in coaching.
What sets Jamie apart as a coach is not just his knowledge of track and field, but the way he invests in understanding the whole athlete. His programming is tailored to address specific strength and development needs, supporting his athletes both on and off the track."

How I coach
My goal is for every athlete, whatever their level, to reach their potential. That means programming built around your body, your event and your life, not a template. I look at the whole athlete: technique, strength, mindset and recovery. Training is hard work, but it should also be something you look forward to.My main goal is for all athletes, regardless of their ability, to reach their full potential. We achieve this through hard work, supported and focused training programs, and a healthy dose of enjoyment.
I strive to bring out excellence in athletes with integrity and a genuine level of care and attention. Join Magictorch Athletics to experience a training environment where your growth and well-being are paramount.
Beyond the track: A fun fact about me
When I'm not coaching, I balance athletics with a career as a creative producer of major events. I'm the creative lead for iconic events such as Sydney New Year's Eve, Sydney Lunar Festival and many more
